How to Do Barbell Back Squat

  1. Position the barbell across your upper back and un-rack it.
  2. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly pointed out.
  3. Brace your core and squat down by bending at the hips and knees.
  4. Descend until your thighs are at least parallel to the floor.
  5. Drive through your heels to stand back up to the starting position.
