How to Do Barbell Deadlift
- Stand with feet hip-width apart, the barbell over mid-foot.
- Hinge at the hips and bend your knees to grip the bar just outside your legs.
- Brace your core, flatten your back, and drive through your heels to stand up.
- Lock out at the top with hips fully extended and shoulders back.
- Reverse the movement to lower the bar back to the floor under control.
